Great Day

I had a great day! Our 10 year old grandson sacrificed his sleep to help out at church with Angel Food this morning. It was wonderful to see him excited about helping.

We then met with my cousin to discuss our forthcoming family reunion and did some shopping for the reunion. He was vey helpful.

To top off the day, I took him bowling. I allowed him to use the bumpers and still beat him!!

Great day! God is good!

Looking

Looking at life through your eyes
What do you see?
A place of gloom, despair, insanity?

Looking at life through your eyes
How does it make you feel?
Hopelessness, fear, defeat, no will?

Look at life through God’s eyes
There is a different view
Jeremiah 29:11 reveals the plans for you

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 (New Living Translation)

I Am Loving Posting These

There is a progression you go through as the Word becomes more active in your life.(You become more fruitful).

Love is a commitment you make, not just feelings.

7 things we must do to realize what God has for us:
1. Know the strength of God
2. Know that God desires to walk through us
3. We must lay down any and all things that hinder us
4. We must allow God's word to change our lives
5. We must allow God's word to keep us in peace
6. We must have confidence in God's word as our defense(strong tower, refuge)
7. We must have faith with our hope(Heb. 11:1, Rom. 4:17-21)

Faith sees what God sees

Prayer and singing(about what God has done and what we are believing for) prepares the atmosphere for us to receive

We have to realize that we do not need the strength from ourselves,we have to decide that we are going to walk in God's strength

Til our faith affects our living, it is not living faith(it has to touch someone else)

What we do is affected by what we have heard and learned

Loves biggest message is forgive

God will tell you what to do, you can't do what God told someone else to do

Joy operates as an offensive and defensive weapon
My friend Audrey wrote this poem:

I want to let God lead me and for Him to be my guide
I want to let God use me and in me His love should always abide
I want to be His servant and let His praises ring
I want to let others see the joy that living for Him will bring.

I want others to know that when they look at me
that I am only striving to live the way that God wants me to be
and that the things I do are for you Lord and not just for me
It's you Lord in my life that I want others to see.

When I see someone that is truly in need
give me the wisdom to help and to plant the right seed
help me to guide them to You the way You've guided me
please open their eyes to see what You want them to see.

I know that through You anyone can change
and many things in their path they must rearrange
it's worth it all though to live for You
I'm so thankful for Your blessings and all that You do.

I want You to teach me to walk the straight path
so that when the devil comes against me, I will just laugh
because in the end it will be I who wins a crown
and the devil will be the one who will then be bound.

I want to serve you and give you all the praise
not only with my mouth but also with my hands raised
high up in the air so that everyone can see
that I love You and You mean everything to me.

Her poem really blessed me. You see,I was not one to cry. I felt I had to always have control of my emotions. Audrey told me over 10 years ago that one day I would lose that control. It started happening eight years ago when I told the Lord, "I can't do it alone, take control of my life." Now,I can be praying and praising him and begin to weep. I can hear a song, a testimony or just be reflecting and becomee emotional. It is wonderful! I love this poem for it is the lifestyle I live and pursue.

Love you Audrey
